Sigh. They are unrelenting. It is like any Cult of Personality, from Hitler to Il Duce to Stalin or Mao. Let’s put Our Great leader’s face on everything.

U.S. push for former President Ronald Reagan to be immortalised on $50 bill
Ronald Reagan could be the first post-war president to appear on a U.S. banknote.
Republican Congressman Patrick McHenry has proposed a law to replace Ulysses S. Grant with Mr Reagan on the $50 note.
The change is designed to mark next year’s 100th anniversary of the 40th president’s birth.
The Rethuglicans seem to have an obsession with idolatry. They are constantly trying to immortalize themselves. They do not want to wait for history to judge them (because I guess they are smart enough to realize what the outcome will be, maybe from watching the fate of Nazism) and so, much like God urges them to do, they judge themselves quite favorably.
For years they have slapped Reagan’s name on everything in sight, often with comments about “why are you complaining, every town gets a Martin Luther King, Jr., street.” Again, sigh. they even tried to put him on Mount Rushmore.
Again, the problem isn’t really partisan politics, it is lack of historical perspective. The Founding Fathers have had a chance to be evaluated. Reagan, not so much. Even less so are the Bushes, who go around naming super aircraft carriers after themselves and handing out oil tankers to their sycophants servants administration officials like candy. At least allow a shovel full of dirt to hit the casket first, you egomaniacs.
Enough already. Please, stop. Stop playing politics with our national heritage. Allow history to judge the actions of our leaders and determine if they are worthy or not.
