Sitbon Tames Some Ghosts

I first met Erik Sitbon at the debut of Jack – The Musical, an operatic rendition of the Jack the Ripper story. Erik had composed a beautiful score for the musical. Turns out Erik is an all around great guy.

I was reviewing the musical and took Erik and the writer, Christopher T. George, out to a famed local Irish pub called Ri-Ra’s. Even though Erik was from France and I was from Mississippi, I found a lot of rapport with him, because we liked a lot of the same types of music. His influences were my favorites. We discussed everything from Elvis and Johnny Cash to the Stray Cats, Billy Idol, and Queen.

Best of all, Erik Sitbon could play all the music I loved. You can’t beat that and I was in music-lover’s heaven, especially when you accept that I am as musically gifted as Mr. Ed– the horse, of course.

So now I “Gotta Make the Right Move.” Repay the favor for being allowed to listen to some great original music. I urge you to buy Erik Sitbon’s album Tame the Ghosts.

Yes, he is a friend, but he is also an exceptionally talented musician. You will be doing yourself a favor, because his music is damn good.
